  "Religion is an important part of many residents' lives, and Atria strives to make worship as easy as possible. We offer scheduled transportation to local churches, synagogues and mosques. Within most communities there are resident-led groups for various types of worship, including Bible study and celebrations of the Jewish holidays. Atria will work with each resident to fulfill his or her spiritual needs, so that no one feels cut off from such a vital part of life."

  "Staying in touch with family and friends is important to our residents. E-mail is frequently the easiest way to keep in touch, especially with tech-savvy grandchildren. To make communication easier, many Atria communities provide computers specifically for resident use. Frequently located in the library, computers and Internet access allow our residents to remain connected with their loved ones. Residents can send e-mails, exchange pictures and remain a vibrant member in the lives of old friends and family. "

• Red Hat Society
  " The Red Hat Society is an organization for women over the age of 50 that is dedicated to creating a welcoming social network for a group that is frequently overlooked in mainstream society. Their most important goal, though, is having fun. Atria is proud that many of its communities have Red Hat Society chapters, bringing together women for special events like teas, theater outings, picnics and more. Wearing their distinctive red hats and purple outfits, the members of the Red Hat Society stand out in a crowd not only for their garb but also for their obvious enjoyment of life. It's one of the many opportunities for women residents to get involved in a supportive social network at Atria."
• Volunteer Program
  Atria recognizes that being older doesn't mean being inactive. Our communities offer options for volunteer work at everywhere from local schools to homeless shelters. The volunteer program affords our residents the opportunity to share their talents and knowledge with the local community. Feeling needed is an important part of staying active and independent, and the volunteer program shows all who participate how necessary they are to the local community.
