Our Commitment to Quality

We Promise you Quality

Behind the warmth and welcome of an Atria community are pages of protocols, standards and metrics—and an investment on everybody’s part in doing what is right for our residents.

Our quality standards far exceed government benchmarks. Ten full-time auditors, led by a Chief Quality Officer who reports directly to the Board of Directors, conduct four-day quality reviews at every Atria assisted living community. These reviews happen twice a year, every year, and are unannounced. The auditors check 740 items in each community and if anything falls even slightly short, we develop improvement plans and work with community leaders to put those plans into action.

To make sure we deliver the service we pledge, we conduct regular customer satisfaction surveys. We rely on the findings to guide our conduct, whether it’s in the courteousness of management, the taste of the food we serve, or our responsiveness to concerns from residents or their families. As a result, 89 percent of our customers say they would recommend Atria to others.

Engage Life®,  our activities program, is based on an extensive review of residents’ interests and criteria from experts on how to keep the mind, body, and soul active. Going to museums, playing tennis matches on Nintendo’s® Wii™, or sailing a historic schooner off the Maine coast are just some of the ways Atria residents continue to lead fulfilling lives.

What People are Saying

One day a week, we congregate for our happy hour. We all join in with our goofy stories and horrible jokes while our achy joints, canes, walkers and wheelchairs are forgotten. No longer are we residents. We are friends and extended family, enjoying each other’s company.

My days are brighter at Atria because of all the activities. When I moved in, the parties inspired me to socialize and meet new friends. I was able to start dancing again.

Dignity is a quality highly valued at any age, but especially so in one’s older years. Thank you for providing this caring staff at Atria Highland Crossing that allows its residents to maintain their dignity.
